Business Support Executive
Purpose of the Role
The Business Support Executive plays a vital role in the day-to-day operations of OPUS, ensuring everything runs efficiently and seamlessly. This role is instrumental in supporting the Managing Director and the wider company’s continued growth and success.
This role keeps the wheels turning across OPUS’ internal operations being the go-to for smooth coordination, supporting everything from scheduling meetings and check-ins to making sure client requirements and paperwork are sorted on time. It also plays a key part in how we communicate, helping to shape our internal comms and keeping our socials and newsletters aligned with what’s really going on behind the scenes.
This position is responsible for maintaining strong relationships with our suppliers, partners and freelancers, and works closely with the team to make sure they’ve got what they need to deliver bold, brilliant cultural events and digital projects. And because good isn’t good enough, you’ll always be on the lookout for ways to improve how we work.

About You
We are looking for an individual who:

Has previous solid experience in an operations, business support, or similar administrative role.

Experience coordinating logistics and facilities, including tasks like supplier liaison, office and storage management, or event setup support.

Has excellent general administrative skills, including for example, HR, Finance, projects, calendar management, travel booking, and document handling.

Is experienced in using a range of digital tools and systems, such as G Suite/Microsoft Office, Dropbox, Canva, task management or HR systems, and basic comms platforms (e.g. Mailchimp, social media tools).

Can demonstrate basic understanding of HR processes and people admin, such as onboarding, maintaining staff records, or supporting recruitment coordination.

Good understanding of Health & Safety compliance and experience supporting H&S-related tasks, such as risk assessments, incident logging, or equipment checks.

Experience liaising with third parties such as suppliers, venues, and contractors, to maintain positive relationships and ensure service standards are met.
